Financial support for your research project

Research projects not only require time and commitment, but also monetary resources. Scholarships and funding programmes provide financial support and often offer additional idealistic support. At the same time, they are a visible recognition of your outstanding research achievements.

We have compiled information for you on this website on funding programmes for postdocs with links to common databases for more in-depth research on your own.

UDE Postdoc Seed Funding

Are you doing research at the UDE and striving for an academic career? Would you like to realize your own research project but still need time and resources to prepare your grant proposal? The UDE-internal Postdoc Seed Funding programme supports postdoctoral researchers in this phase with initial funding of up to 30,000 euros. Applications are possible twice a year.

The UDE-internal Gottschalk-Diederich-Baedeker-Preis is awarded for outstanding work that addresses topics of high relevance and which achieves excellence in the field of research and technology transfer. The award is endowed with 5,000 euros.

Reimbursement of costs for child care needs in special situations

The so-called "Feuerwehrtopf" provides financial aid for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers with children who need short-term childcare due to a sudden emergency situation.
