Working Group of Empirical Political Science

I am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Faculty of Social Sciences, Institute of Political Science, in the POLITSOLID ERC project.

My current research project concerns information avoidance: a puzzling sociological phenomenon when people prefer knowing less information, even if the rational behavior dictates the opposite. In particular I am interested in interaction of information avoidance with affective polarization, when people discriminate against those who hold opposite political views
