About
Teresa Hummler is a postdoctoral researcher in the project “Protest groups in the aftermath of mass protest campaigns”. Previously, from October 2021 until September 2025, she worked at the Working Group of Empirical Political Science, particularly in the project ‘Social openness, social control, and the integration of Muslim immigrants – A panel study in neighbourhoods of selected German cities’ (principal investigator Dr. Conrad Ziller). There, she wrote her PhD entitled “Unpacking the Role of Local Contexts: How Local Contextual Characteristics Influence Individuals' Political Attitudes in Western European Societies”.
She completed her Bachelor's degree in European Studies Major with a focus on Political Science, Hispanic Studies and Business Administration at the University of Passau, the Universidad Católica de Santiago del Estero (Argentina) and the Universidad de Málaga (Spain). She received her Master’s degree in Democracy and Governance in Europe from the University of Tübingen. Her main research interests include political attitudes, neighborhood effects, immigrant integration, and the influence of protest on democratic attitudes.
