Graduate Colleges
Graduate colleges are sponsored by the German Research Foundation. They are temporary university facilities that are set up to promote young scientists. In graduate colleges PhD students get the chance to perform their work within the framework of a coordinated, interdisciplinary research program that is carried out by several professors. In this way they become involved in the research work of the participating institutes. A study program is used to supplement and broaden student's college individual specializations and to provide a structure for their cooperation.
