The University of Duisburg-Essen has recently joined the Young Entrepreneurs in Science (YES) network and is now hosting a workshop together with RUB and TU Dortmund for the first time as part of the nationwide YES programme promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in science.
The interactive online workshop YOUR INNOVATION SKILLS on 7 October 2026 invites participants to reflect on and further develop their own skill profile as a researcher, innovator and entrepreneur. Participants will explore the skillset of innovators and reflect on their own abilities, strengths and potential areas for development. The workshop also focuses on understanding how individual competencies can contribute to successful teamwork. In addition, the exchange with other doctoral researchers and postdocs offers an opportunity to gain new perspectives and make valuable connections.

About Young Entrepreneurs in Science (YES)
YES is an interactive workshop programme developed by the Falling Walls Foundation that supports doctoral researchers and postdocs in developing an entrepreneurial mindset and pursuing innovative ideas. The workshops provide practical methods and skills while offering opportunities to connect and exchange ideas with other researchers interested in entrepreneurship and innovation.
