At the University Reception, newly appointed professors at the University of Duisburg-Essen were officially welcomed by the mayors of the university cities of Duisburg and Essen, together with Rector Barbara Albert. This year’s reception was hosted by the City of Essen and its Mayor, Thomas Kufen.

Nine universities, over 260,000 students, and more than 800 research groups: for ten years, Aurora has stood for close international collaboration in research and teaching. From May 18 to 21, the network will come to Duisburg - with a highlight at the opening.
