During this week, the participants from different institutions will get a general overview of Koç University, participating universities, and how institutions create a welcoming climate for both students and staff from all backgrounds with thoughtful cross-cultural experiences.

Our program will mostly revolve around the international offices of our partner universities and the areas that we will be exploring will largely be exchange programs, international student experiences and partnerships.

While participants enjoy week-long thought-provoking discussions and sessions with colleagues from all around the world, they will also enjoy the cultural beauties of Istanbul and Türkiye.

Topic:  Critical thinking in the Digital Age.  In fact how can we cope with information overload, where the internet is a melting pot of knowledge and ideas? Our students must acquire the ability to discern truth from misinformation and this is paramount. When we navigate the digital, the critical thinking and fact-checking emerges as our compass, guiding us through the complexities of this wonderful online world. We know that the theme is as much trending as the values of democracy are in crisis in several EU countries. 

The idea is to elaborate on this, so we accept 5 minutes pitches from people who really connects with the idea, in spite of organizing ourselves some free seminars. We will have our traditional  network fair,  where partners can brings leaflets, brochures  for a small venue that will help connecting with each other and also with the academic environment in Leiria!

27.-31.05.2024, Madrid, Spanien: LIBRARY Staff Week, Universidad Complutense

The programme consists of presentations by library staff in the Central Library Services and it will include visits to the Heritage Library, “María Zambrano” Library and faculty libraries in the Campus.

This short-term stay for training purposes will offer librarians great opportunities for networking and for sharing knowledge, experiences and best practices within and across professional areas of the Complutense Library.

It will also offer you the opportunity of improving your Spanish. Knowledge of Spanish would be an asset.
