Proteins are the invisible engines of our bodies. Victoria Momand wants to make them visible. In her PhD research, she is investigating a little-known enzyme and using state-of-the-art microscopy to peer deep into the cell.

On its way to the World Port Days in Rotterdam, UDE’s research vessel NOVA will become a platform for discussion about the future of inland shipping. At several stops along the route, the focus will be on automated navigation and sustainability.

A voluntary year after finishing school – that is also possible in research: Kay Hinsenkamp spent a year at the UDE Faculty of Physics exploring different fields of research to find out what suits her best. In October, she will begin studying Energy Science at UDE.
