With this video we want to give you a short overall impression!

The future supply of mankind with energy is a global challenge for science. This involves a wide range of questions concerning natural resources, climate and nutrition.

"Energy Science" at the University of Duisburg-Essen is becoming an increasingly popular bachelor's degree program throughout Germany. In addition to the fundamentals of natural science, we provide students with a sound physical knowledge of all forms of energy, energy transport and energy consumption.

Field trip to Düsseldorf Airport

On August 07th, seven students visited Düsseldorf Airport together with Dr. Florian Mazur from research group Schreckenberg. Here, they were able to experience the logistical processes studied in the lecture “Physics of Traffic 2” (Airplane Traffic) at an international airport and see live on site what an important role physics plays for aviation, making the theory from the lecture more tangible and comprehensible for the participants.
