Since 1 May 2021, employees of higher education institutions belong to the group of persons with "increased entitlement" to a SARS-CoV-2 vaccination. (https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/coronaimpfv_2021-04/__4.html)
Assignment to prioritisation group 3 is independent of age or previous illnesses. In addition to contact persons of persons in need of care or pregnant women and parents of seriously ill minors, people from various occupational fields are addressed. Their employment must be evidenced by an employer's certificate, which the Human Resources Department currently sends automatically to all persons working at the UDE by post to their respective home address.
From Thursday, 6 May 2021, appointment bookings - potentially staggered according to different groups of people within the prioritisation - are to be possible via the booking portals of the Associations of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians: online via http://www.116117.de, by telephone via the central number 116 117 or the additional numbers 0800 116 117 02 (Westphalia-Lippe) and 0800 116 117 01 (Rhineland).
