Master/PhD at U.S. Top Universities

You are interested in pursuing a master’s or PhD at one of the top universities in the U.S. and have earned excellent grades during your undergraduate studies? If so, the ERP Scholarship Program might be just right for you. Since 1994, the program has been funding outstanding students for one- to two-year study and research stays at U.S. universities.
The goal of the ERP program is to strengthen transatlantic understanding and to support and connect highly qualified graduates who aspire to work in the public sector.
Scholarship recipients receive:
- A monthly stipend of $2,500
- A one-time startup grant of $500
- A travel allowance of $1,000
- A tuition subsidy of up to $25,000 per academic year
- An annual scholarship recipient gathering in the U.S.
- Membership in the German National Academic Foundation
(May be combined with other scholarships (e.g., DAAD or U.S. university scholarships))
Application Requirements
- Graduates of all disciplines
- Excellent academic record; for law graduates, a minimum grade of “fully satisfactory.”
- Applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree by the application deadline.
- The applicant’s most recent university degree must have been awarded no more than five years prior. The date on the degree certificate applies.
- Previous funding from the German National Academic Foundation is not required.
