In our basic courses, we teach you the basics of literature research and search strategies.
In advanced courses, you will learn everything about databases and literature management.
Refresher courses help you to brush up your research skills.
We also offer many courses in English. For those who want to work independently of course times, we also have a range of self-study courses.
Literature research
Finding the right literature is central to good academic work.
In our courses, we teach you the basics, tips and tricks for researching and dealing with relevant academic literature.
Literature management
(Citavi, EndNote, Zotero)
In order to keep a good overview when working with literature, we recommend literature management programs.
With programs such as Citavi and EndNote, you can systematically collect and manage your literature - we support you with the first steps and in deepening your knowledge.
Library certificate
Our library certificate consists of modular courses and covers the basics of literature and subject research.
Upon completion, you will receive a certificate, which is mandatory in some degree programs.
UB|SchreibSprints
Use your writing time and learn to work on your project in a focused way for an hour.
In addition, the library organizes a one-week writing camp once a semester, the UB|SchreibCamp.

For all English speakers, we offer a range of courses in English such as Introduction to the Library, Basics of Literature Research and on Literature Management as well as self-study courses.
Self-study options
Our self-study options include Moodle courses, video tutorials and various materials for academic work that you can work on independently of course times.
