The opening event of the Essener Wissenschaftssommer, the Wissenschaftsabend, will take place on 18 June under the title “Future Skills – Human Competences in the Context of Change and New Technologies”, addressing one of the most pressing questions of our time: Which core human skills will be important in the future – and how are technological developments changing vocational training, higher education and the labour market? Two UDE researchers will also explain this from their perspective.
In his keynote speech, computer scientist Professor Dr Stefan Schneegaß will address the topic: "From the command line to calm technology: the evolution towards a seamless human-AI symbiosis". Medical scientist Professor Dr Stephanie Herbstreit will explore the question: "Why reflective thinking is set to become the most important key competence of the future". Following this, they will take part in a panel discussion moderated by Lis Blume, alongside Prof. Dr. Bianca Krol (FOM University) and Roman Klauser (RWI).
When? 5 pm to 7 pm
Where? FOM University Centre Essen. Herkulesstr. 32, 45127 Essen
