At the end of the year, German Language and Literature Section in the Humanities and Social Sciences Library on the Essen campus regularly offers selected new bellestristic publications on a special acquisition shelf.
The annual focus country of the Frankfurt Book Fair is is also considered, but in particular new German-language publications by both young and established authors are acquired. This is intended to serve the needs of German studies teaching and research as well as general reading interest.
After the campaign, the books are shelved in the regular library collection. They remain visible via the search in the lists of new publications in our catalogue Primo.
