Call for entries for the Duisburg-Essen Teaching Award

Lecturers who inspire enthusiasm for their subject and break new ground with their teaching methods are honoured by the UDE with the Duisburg-Essen Teaching Award. Faculties may submit nominations by 30 June. Student councils and students may nominate their favourites to the dean’s offices up to six weeks before this deadline.
Not only individuals but also entire teams may be nominated. The winner of the award is decided by an award committee comprising a university lecturer, an academic staff member and four students. The committee is elected by the Commission for Teaching, Studies and Continuing Education.
The prize is worth €10,000 and will be presented at a ceremony during the Dies Academicus 2026 on the Duisburg campus.
