Loan period
The loan period is 28 days.
It can be can be renewed for up to 1 year (except: interlibrary loans).
After borrowing, you will receive the receipts with the loan deadlines by email. You can also check on borrowed media and due dates at any time by calling up your library account.
If the loan period is exceeded, there are charges which increase every ten days.
Non-borrowable media from the open-shelf section can be borrowed via short-term borrowing with a shortened loan period.
Doctoral candidates and assistant professors as well as members of the Duisburg-Essen University will receive an extended loan period of 1 year as long as there are no reservations from other users. The loan period shortens as soon as a reservation is placed.
